Only 3 more sleeps till I leave. I have packed and unpacked so many times and I just can’t get the weight down under 9 kilos. I have bought 3 pairs of boots and have decided on the last ones. This sounds extravagant but it is something that you just can’t get wrong. It’s the most important thing! Unfortunately you never know how good they are until you actually walk a few kilometres in them, and then they can’t be returned. Trips to the podiatrist have set me up really well I hope, and I’ve had a huge hair cut and purchased sun screen. It’s very hot in Spain at the moment. I’m hoping the bushfires are under control.
I’m a tad nervous as this is the road less travelled and less documented, although I don’t think there are as many mountains as the last one. I will be walking on Roman paths and seeing Roman ruins as good if not better than in Italy. It’s a very historical route and I’m particularly excited to know there are Roman baths along the way.
My Camino travelling companions and I have been frantically Facebooking and organising last minute details, and I’m so excited to be sharing this adventure with such strong, funny and wonderful women. I forget I’m so much older than both of them, and I hope I can keep upπ
Look out Spain…the tres amigas are coming!π£π£π£ππ½ππ½ππ½ππππππππΌβοΈπ·βοΈπ΄πβ°πβͺοΈπ·ππΊπΈπ¬π§ (couldn’t put the Australian flag up there because it isn’t in the list!!! Only New Zealand one…WTF?)
Have a great Camino…. How wonderful doing it with 2 others that you know and love. Nothing like a girl tribe.
So looking forward to your blogs
Enjoy !!
