There Are no Coincidences…

A while ago, a lady called Kate bought my book. Her friend Julia also bought it and then Julie read it too.

All of this led the three of them to walk the Camino together. There is no better compliment and I thank you girls, who have now become good friends as they have shared their walk with me every day that they have been gone. They walked the Frances route, and from what I can tell, they ‘lived and loved’ every minute. I think it surpassed their expectations. Every day, they sent me pictures and it was a lovely feeling to know that I had inspired someone so much

I knew that Kate was still in town and she found me in the square and came running over with arms outstretched to greet me and it was as if we were old friends. The more we talked, the more we realised how much we have in common and we had a great time.

We have also discovered, even though she lives in northern NSW, we have a friend in common Amanda!

Not only that, but a while ago, she needed a handyman, and a guy called Chris turned up. They chatted as he worked and she told him that she was going to walk the Camino. He said that he had a friend at the ashram in Melbourne who had done it and written a book….guess who….and with that, Kate plucked my book off her shelf! No way!!!! What are the chances?

We have two mutual friends with no connection and here we are in Santiago together. We had to go to the other side of the world to meet. Crazy😳
