An Easy Day

It’s interesting that there is nothing funny to write about this time. I like to keep my blogs light and humorous but it is actually just like normal life here at the moment.

Started the day with a light breakfast, the hero of which was the orange juice of course. You’ve never had a good orange juice if you haven’t been to Spain! The coffee is great too and I’m drinking way too much of it.

I met up with Patti again at lunch time and sat with her while she ate at her favourite cafe (I was still full from breakfast). We are both trying really hard to speak and communicate in Spanish- it’s hit and miss a lot of the time but it is fun and makes the locals laugh at our attempts.

We went back to Patti’s place a just chilled for a few hours and then wandered over to a restaurant for dinner. Beautiful Japanese/asian food. I inhaled it barely letting it touch the plate. I have to stop eating at some stage but the food is so delicious!

So today was uneventful- a trip to the supermarket, a visit to Pilgrim house, lunch, dinner and a beautiful walk home through the streets of old town filled with chatty, happy pilgrims. I love how safe it feels here. It is a beautiful balmy night with clear skies and laughter and singing floating through the air. Life is so good.
